When local and regional trade companies come together to make a difference in our communities, we’re doing more than building houses and neighborhoods... We’re building futures.
Together we can create pathways to empower young people to pursue lifelong careers in homebuilding.

Ways to get involved
Immersion
Participate as a "trade" along a homebuilding immersion tour for local young people. Teach them about your trade, your company, the opportunities available and pathways to success in your trade.
Internship
Commit to opening Builders Bridge internship opportunities for young people in your organization to complete a 7-8 week internship with on-the-job training and mentorship as they pursue interest in a homebuilding career.
Curriculum
Support schools and programs locally as they seek to educate students, young people, educators and parents about the homebuilding industry.
Donate
Builders Bridge is breaking ground on creating pathways in our local, and soon national, homebuilding industries. Get in on the ground floor as a financial donor.
Sponsor
There are numerous opportunities to sponsor an individual who is pursuing a career in homebuilding. You can provide steel-toed shoes, or trade-specific tools to interns starting internships in homebuilding. You can sponsor career fairs or provide supplies. Let us help connect you to opportunities to meet the needs in our communities.
Guest Speaker
High schools and middle schools are always looking for trades to come in and share about their industry and career with their students.
Case Study
We knew that Builders Bridge was something we wanted to be a part of the minute we met the Builders Bridge team and learned about their mission to bridge the gap between the industry need and the opportunities for students.
We offered our first internship in the Summer of 2019; some of our managers were not sure what to expect and did not immediately choose to volunteer to coach and mentor. But we had one manager who took our Builders Bridge intern under his wing, and taught him everything from the ground up. The intern was so kind, and he was so thankful and appreciative for the opportunity. His mother was, as well; she drove him back and forth to his work at Southern Shade Tree every day; she wanted to give her son this opportunity.
After that first internship experience, I now have more managers coming to us, asking to get involved, and that’s shifted our business to a mentorship mentality. That’s just one of many shifts we have experienced in our business since getting involved with Builders Bridge. It opened our eyes to other ways we can get involved, including offering an apprenticeship through Apprenticeship Carolina as well as completing a landscape makeover for a local non-profit organization.
We’re proud of the change in our team and how we’ve been able to give back to the community. In that sense, Builders Bridge is a wonderful opportunity not just for the young people, but for the organization as well.
